The Halifax Experience Foundation is a grassroots, not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering Black and visible minority communities across Canada, with a strong focus on immigrant inclusion, equitable opportunity, and community development.
Founded on the belief that representation, collaboration, and opportunity are essential to building thriving and inclusive communities, the Foundation serves as a platform for dialogue, capacity building, and collective action around the issues that most affect marginalized groups.

To advance equity, inclusion, and community empowerment by creating programs, partnerships, and platforms that address systemic barriers and promote the social and economic advancement of Black, immigrant, and visible minority communities.

Our Work and Focus Areas
Since its inception, The Halifax Experience Foundation has expanded its scope to cultivate innovative, inclusive, and collaborative initiatives that support immigrant and visible minority entrepreneurs, professionals, and organizations.
Our key focus areas include:

Supporting immigrant- and minority-owned businesses through mentorship, training, and visibility.
Promoting inclusive entrepreneurship through business accelerators, networking events, and capacity-building programs.
Partnering with public and private sectors to increase access to funding, contracts, and market opportunities for underrepresented entrepreneurs.

Delivering cultural competency and cross-cultural communication training to organizations, institutions, and community groups.
Promoting intercultural understanding to create more inclusive workplaces and communities.
Hosting dialogues, panels, and workshops that explore diversity, inclusion, and equity in action.
